'Come and Sing' Elijah raises £5,500

On Saturday 29th September 2007 we were delighted to attract singers from all over the south of England as well as Cornwall, Shropshire, Yorkshire, Norfolk and Essex to our  'Come and Sing' Elijah in Romsey Abbey.

Under the baton of Arthur Robson, Director of Choral Studies at the University of Chichester, and accompanied by the City of Southampton Orchestra, over 300 singers raised more than £5,500 for three local charities: Jane Scarth House and The Molemax Appeal (Wessex Cancer Trust) and the XLP Research Trust set up by the Hartley family in Romsey to fund research into X-linked Lymphoproliferative Syndrome (XLP).

A big thank you to everyone that took part and to our sponsors for the event: Woolley & Wallis Estate Agents, Avensis Coach Travel and Keats Restaurant.
