HANDEL Israel In Egypt

Handel’s magnificent oratorio vividly sets the biblical tale of Israel’s oppression in Egypt and the miraculous escape of the Israelites across the Red Sea in a tour-de-force of choral writing which, in 1738, was on an exceptionally grand scale.

Joining Romsey Choral Society are a distinguished group of soloists and the professional orchestra The Academy of St Thomas.
