The 2008-2009 Committee
Roles and responsibilities
As an aid to
members, here is a brief summary of the areas of responsibility for each
committee member:

As Chairman,
John chairs the main committee meetings, AGMs, and is responsible for
announcements to the choir. In addition John is responsible for the
sale concert tickets.

Clare, as
Secretary, minutes all committee meetings as well as working with Kath, the
concert manager, on concert arrangements.

Lynne, as treasurer, manages the budget of the society including financial
planning for future concerts and applying for grants. Membership
subscriptions should be given to Lynne.

Kath, as
concert manager, coordinates all arrangements for concerts, including
managing soloists and orchestra contracts, inviting guests, choir seating
and general on the day arrangements. Kath chairs the music planning subgroup
which brings future repertoire proposals forward to the committee.

David, as
musical director, is a non voting member of the committee. His main role is
working on future concert plans with the music planning subgroup. David
provides input for financial planning, publicity, grant and fund raising
initiatives, as well as coordinating production of the yearly
brochure.

Linda, as
membership secretary, is responsible for maintaining the choir membership
inventory and attendance sheets. Planned absences from rehearsals should be
marked on the attendance sheet. For unplanned absences please inform Linda.
As Librarian, Linda, is responsible for the hire, distribution, and
collection of all hired choral scores.

Mark acts as
coordinator for publicity and marketing of our concerts and long term
business planning.
